Good to see a few people again and meet some new people today! Nkato, Zoidberg, Studystudystudy, just-a-scratch, Simonkhtse, Spaceball-Two & Gettingoldercarguy. (don’t think I missed anyone)
Met up with Simonkhtse at 6:45am in Blaine to drive the Chuckanut Drive. Always an amazing drive.
Also saw some cool cars like !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , a metric shiton of 2 wheeled Hondas and some cool Cadillacs including !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Forgive the shitty pics.
Kinda crazy to be a few feet from a car that Steve Mcqueen drove.

Me too. No dinner for me which is just as well since it’s just me here tonight

I really wish I could’ve made that, but my kids were crashing harder than a 737 max.
Still, it was great to meet people finally and it has helped my wife understand making time for one of the drives in the near future

Bummed I didn’t make it :(
I thought I'd been there before, but the pictures don't look familiar. Might have been the other location

Mostly j ust tired now. I didn’t end up falling asleep until 9am
How was the waffle place?

Good, but so much food. Do not recommend eating massive amounts of fried chicken and waffles before setting out on 3 hour drive home.

Ha, I hear ya. The first time I ate there I ended up napping in my car before driving home, and was basically useless the rest of the day

Yeah, now your wife knows you don’t want to go hang out with a bunch of guys in hoodies doing doughnuts in a Walmart parking lot for their snapchat.
We are classy “motor enthusiasts ”

I already knew that and now she does as well. My street racing days are long gone. I haven’t done that in over twenty years anyways. Cheaper to go to the track .
On the way up there was some asshat in an e92 m3 with straight pipes (horrible sounding) racing through traffic. Lauren said it’d be hilarious if that was one of the members. I thought that for a brief while, but didn’t think anybody in that group would drive like that in thick traffic.

Oh that VFR750R, always loved the look of those, definitely wasn’t there the last time I visited, I would have remembered that.
Wish I could have made it, hopefully next time.

I swear to some god like something I will make it to one of these meats. Instead I was camping in the damn snow! :(

Where are you located again?

I was camping in Kananaskis with my folks, and it snowed about 6cm. At least I wasn’t around Jasper where some spots got 20+cm

Still, you might've been there.
The LeMay collection is far bigger than the museum can hold. Most of the exhibits change periodically.

Yikes! I wonder what an Alberta meet would look like
![]() 06/23/2019 at 13:38 |

It would look like winter! I'm not sure how many oppos are from here, or what they drive, but an average Alta parking lot is full of bro-dozers, subies in need of head gaskets, and fart cans on Mazda 3's. They are all painted in grey scale.

Sounds accurate. I'm originally an Edmonton boy

I jes t tho. Alberta actually has quite an impressive scene, given the amount of money here. It’s not unusual to see lambos and Ferrari’s, Porsche’s are as common as taxis, and I’ve seen some really rare stuff. I had pics of a 8c on my old phone, one of my old neighbors daily drove a GT 3 rs, and his toy was a 05' Ford gt. Metric poop-tonnes of beautiful old muscle, a huge hot-rod scene, and I'm sure there are more drift cars per capita than any other place in north America. We are also blessed with some of the world's greatest driving roads, so there is that.

Nice meeting you all. Always a good time. Did you guys see the traffic going south on the way back? That was nuts.

Thanks for organizing again - that was a whole lot of fun! Definitely doing that Chuckanut drive again soon. Didn’t know that there’s a great driving road in our backyard.
n00b me doesn’t know how to post on Oppo, however, so I am posting my recap in the comments.
